A Christ-centered retreat and year-round community for men facing cancer. We run retreats across North America and keep men connected afterward through an online digital platform.
Men currently in cancer treatment or cancer survivorship. We screen for safety/fit; if you’re unsure simply apply and our team will reach out to advise.
Epic, cabin-based locations in the US (e.g., Blue Ridge GA, Sedona AZ, Columbia Gorge OR). Future sites rotate by season and airport access.
3.5 days, Thursday afternoon → Sunday morning.
Use Apply in the top navigation button. We follow up with a brief call and eligibility check.
Yes. We are unapologetically Christ-centered and warmly welcome all men who are open to the environment and ground rules. We are here as a brotherhood to help support your cancer journey regardless of your spiritual beliefs.
Generally adults (21+). If you’re under 21 apply and our team will review case-by-case.
Retreats are men-only to protect the format. We can suggest nearby lodging for family during the weekend.
Tell us on the form. We design low-exertion options, honor mask preferences, and keep indoor air clean; the nurse will advise. You have the option to participate or decline in any activities and enjoy the weekend on your own terms.
Retreat tuition, lodging, transportation and meals are 100% donor-funded.
Yes. Use Fund Your Retreat to crowdfund tuition via our GoFundMe partner page and lock a specific date sooner. It’s optional.
Yes, once our 501(c)(3) recognition is finalized. We’ll issue receipts through Waystream, Inc.
We do not provide any medical treatment. A licensed oncology nurse is on-site at our retreats for safety, basic first aid, and escalation planning.
All fieldcraft is designed with low-exertion. No one is pushed to do more than is safe and all of our weekend activities can be selected "ala-carte." Typical outdoor activities include fly fishing, fly casting, hiking, shooting, fire building, shelter building, etc.
Yes. You retain full control of your medications. We provide private storage guidance and daily check-ins if you want them.
We follow current public-health guidance and ask sick participants to defer. We maintain good ventilation and hygiene supplies.
Firepit fellowship, In-The-Round sharing (one voice, no fixing), immersive guided workshops, acoustic worship & prayer, steak night, barbeque night, outdoor fieldcraft activities (fly-fishing, fly-casting, hiking, knotcraft, firecraft, survival skills, map & compass), outdoor journaling & reflection, unhurried meals together. We put a ton of effort into crafting an incredible experience for everyone involved. There is nothing else even close to what we've organized for men on their cancer journey.
Clearly Christ-centered—Scripture, prayer, and worship woven in. No pressure tactics, no debates. You can pass at any time. Our retreats are mini-vacations that give men facing cancer the space they need to relax and build relationships with other men going through similar journeys.
A facilitator or pastor is available for one-on-one conversation and prayer upon request. Some retreats also have a mental health/life coach. Depending on the retreat, we may have additional staff to assist you as well.
Once applicants are approved, we provide more detailed information on the exact location, itinerary and nearest major airport.
Often yes (shuttle windows from the primary airport). Details are on each retreat page after acceptance. We have the ability to customize travel arrangements depending on the situation.
We’ll email a simple list (layers, comfortable shoes, hiking boots, meds, water bottle, etc.) We provide gear for all outdoor fieldcraft modules on behalf of our in-kind event sponsors.
Yes. We choose cabins with minimal steps where possible and design low-exertion options for every activity.
We have robust indoor programs and covered outdoor spaces. Safety drives all decisions; we adjust the plan, not the mission.
Demand is high. Applying early and being flexible on dates increases your odds; crowdfunding your seat can also accelerate scheduling.
